Back Room, Kotka = WIN

We’ve had quite fun for the past few days and the show tonight in Kuopio should be a special night as well. Last night’s show in Kotka was the most fun we’ve ever had on stage! The crowd and staff were simply amazing and we’ll definitely make it back to Kotka again. How does a wall of death sound like, when it also had 4 members of the band involved… While playing! Yes, we have that on video and it’ll be up soon.

Kotka and Turku to be executed

Two more shows have been confirmed for this year: Kotka on November 28th and Turku on December 20th.

We’re also taking requests for songs to be included in the setlist for the last two shows this year, Kouvola and Turku. Submit your favorites as comments.

New contact info for booking agent in Finland

Our booking agent Teemu Suominen has started his own company and thus is no longer working at LiveNation. The only real difference is the new email address, which is for now.

Obviously we’re a tad bitter about the fact that we can no longer support Björk or the likes, but I guess it’s the way it goes for any death metal band, huh?

History

Sotajumala is a Finnish death metal band founded in 1998 that plays aggressive death metal. Drawing influence from both old and new generations of death metal the band has created a sound of their own. The lyrics are in their native language and the band name translates to Wargod. Over the years the band has gained loyal following through hard work, solid releases and several fierce live shows.

Debut full-length Death Metal Finland received great response from press and fans alike in 2004, marking the beginning of a new era in Finnish death metal. As a result of meticulous writing process the band unleashed their sophomore album Teloitus in 2007. With its eight crushing songs Teloitus displays Sotajumala’s progress as songwriters, as musicians and as a band - something both press and fans noticed. From start to finish Teloitus destroys everything on its path, not once letting go. This energy is also present at live shows where the band has further demonstrated their abilities to annihilate the masses.
