Kuolinjulistus video will be played tomorrow on Ääripää, an extreme music program on Finnish YLE Extra channel. You can also request the video to be played on program called Toiveet, that’s aired on the same channel every Thursday.

This Wednesday few of us will be talking rubbish and playing our favourite music on Pommiradio, which is pretty much the internet radio show to listen to (if you understand Finnish, that is).

Plenty of other TV, radio and magazine appearances coming up, such as Inferno, Sue, Miasma, Imperiumi, Metalliliitto and a bunch of others. Stay tuned.

Pre-listening sessions (with a twist)

Inferno in Helsinki will be hosting Teloitus pre-listening session on October 18th. Not only are you going to see Kuolinjulistus video and hear Teloitus from cd, you will also get to see us play the entire album live. Now how cool is that?

There will also be a pre-listening session in Jyväskylä’s Inferno on October 10th. Unfortunately we were unable to play live in Jyväskylä, but don’t worry: Where Victims Lie will be playing there after our pre-listening, so there’s absolutely no reason to even think about going to work the following day.

You can now pre-order Teloitus through Finnish record store Levykauppa Äx aka Record Shop X. You can either order just the cd or go for the cd + shirt combo. Paypal and credit card payments are supported, fast deliveries only 2,50 € worldwide! Here’s the cover artwork for the album, but just wait until you’ll get your hands on the whole package!

The shirt is a limited edition and has been designed for this pre-order package only – when they’re gone, they’re gone forever. It is completely in Finnish and says Teloitettu, which means executed, on front and comes with a dictionary definition of execution on the back – you never know when you might need it!

Three more weeks and Kuolinjulistus single will hit the stores in Finland. Anna-Kaisa Reed from Mainostoimisto Aava & Bang has done great job with the artwork. The single contains non-album track Estrangulados as b-side as well as music video for Kuolinjulistus. Fancy a copy?

History

Sotajumala is a Finnish death metal band founded in 1998 that plays aggressive death metal. Drawing influence from both old and new generations of death metal the band has created a sound of their own. The lyrics are in their native language and the band name translates to Wargod. Over the years the band has gained loyal following through hard work, solid releases and several fierce live shows.

Debut full-length Death Metal Finland received great response from press and fans alike in 2004, marking the beginning of a new era in Finnish death metal. As a result of meticulous writing process the band unleashed their sophomore album Teloitus in 2007. With its eight crushing songs Teloitus displays Sotajumala’s progress as songwriters, as musicians and as a band - something both press and fans noticed. From start to finish Teloitus destroys everything on its path, not once letting go. This energy is also present at live shows where the band has further demonstrated their abilities to annihilate the masses.
