The dvd is out and here’s your chance to win a copy

Slaughter at Lutakko dvd is out now, so go ahead and order yours. Record Shop X is also running a contest where you can win a copy of the dvd or our upcoming album Kuolemanpalvelus. Seems like the page isn’t fully translated yet, but the point is: on the night of the show, someone was too drunk to go to the bathroom and you can guess what happened as a result. No one has admitted so far, so now you can vote who gets the blame. Choose the band and enter the name of the member in the field and also give a reason why you voted the person you did.

We’ve also uploaded more old songs on Myspace, so in case you haven’t bought or downloaded our albums yet, here’s a free, legal way to listen to our older material.

Local newspaper Keskisuomalainen will be doing an interview regarding Slaughter at Lutakko dvd, which comes out next week. Mynni and two fans will sit down to share memories of the show. If you were at the show, here’s your chance to take part of this interview.

The interview will take place downtown Jyväskylä next Wednesday, March 10th at 7 PM. The winners will get a signed copy of the dvd as a prize.

History

Sotajumala is a Finnish death metal band founded in 1998 that plays aggressive death metal. Drawing influence from both old and new generations of death metal the band has created a sound of their own. The lyrics are in their native language and the band name translates to Wargod. Over the years the band has gained loyal following through hard work, solid releases and several fierce live shows.

Debut full-length Death Metal Finland received great response from press and fans alike in 2004, marking the beginning of a new era in Finnish death metal. As a result of meticulous writing process the band unleashed their sophomore album Teloitus in 2007. With its eight crushing songs Teloitus displays Sotajumala’s progress as songwriters, as musicians and as a band - something both press and fans noticed. From start to finish Teloitus destroys everything on its path, not once letting go. This energy is also present at live shows where the band has further demonstrated their abilities to annihilate the masses.
